Participation

What to Expect When You Enroll.

Participation in a clinical trial is a meaningful commitment — and a personal choice. This page explains what the process looks like from first contact through study completion.

The Enrollment Journey

Step by step, from inquiry to completion.

01

Initial Inquiry

You reach out through our contact form or by phone. Our team gathers basic background information to understand your health profile and geographic location.

02

Pre-Screening

A brief review is conducted to assess whether any open studies may match your eligibility profile. This is not a medical evaluation — it's a logistical fit assessment.

03

Formal Screening

If a potential match exists, the study site conducts a formal screening visit. Medical history, lab work, and eligibility criteria are reviewed by the research team.

04

Informed Consent

Before any study procedures begin, you receive a complete explanation of the research — its purpose, risks, benefits, alternatives, and your rights. You decide whether to sign.

05

Study Visits

Enrolled participants attend scheduled visits at the study site. Frequency, duration, and procedures vary by protocol. Travel and time compensation may be available.

06

Completion & Follow-Up

After the study period ends, a final visit or follow-up contact may occur. You'll be informed of any relevant findings and provided any required safety monitoring.

Your Rights as a Participant

Non-negotiable protections — every time.

Voluntary Participation

You may withdraw from a study at any time, for any reason, without affecting your access to other medical care or services.

Full Disclosure

All risks, benefits, and alternatives must be clearly communicated before you agree to participate. Ask as many questions as you need.

Confidentiality

Your personal health information is protected under federal law and institutional privacy policies. Your identity is never disclosed without your authorization.

Access to New Information

If relevant new findings emerge during the study that might affect your willingness to continue, you must be informed promptly.

Right to Ask Questions

At every stage, you have the right to ask questions — and to receive clear, honest answers from the research team and its independent ethics board.

No Undue Influence

Compensation or incentives, when offered, are designed to offset inconvenience — not to pressure anyone into participating or continuing against their wishes.
